The St. Andrew Youth Group meets every
Sunday at 10:00 a.m. in the Teen Room. All students in grades
6 through 12 are invited to join this active group of teens!
Activities include community service projects, fundraising
events, growing with God, and just doing things for fun.
The Youth Group works hard each year collecting items and
money to support LSSN and the Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth. They make meals for residents
at the Ronald McDonald House and they also help out around the church on work
days, assist during Sunday School and Kids Klub, and even run the services on
Youth Sunday! Social activities have included bowling, lazer tag, trips to Restaurants,
the Adventure Dome, hikes, camping trips and sleep-overs at the church.

Angel Tree for Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth
The Fourth Annual Angel Tree sponsored by the Youth Group is being held this year from now until December 20th. We are collecting gifts and gift cards for homeless teens that are helped by the Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth. There are two types of teens that this facility assists. The first teen is a squatter. A squatter sleeps in a stairwell or doorway. The second type of teen is a couch surfer. They move from place to place sleeping on the couches of friends. The facility accepts students from 12-17 as long as they are going to school full-time. The facility provides snacks, school supplies, clothing, showers and a place to wash their clothes. Other services include: e-mail, important document acquisition and some counseling.
We are asking for fast food gift cards, movie passes, bus passes and store gift cards. Please place the cards in the box beneath the poster in the Fellowship Hall. Even if you don’t take a specific angel, we will be happy to receive your cards in the box in the Fellowship Hall.
The Teen Ministries of our Church are led by Michael Engfer
who is the Director of Program Ministries and The Teen Leadership
which is a group of adults who care deeply for our teens and
The Teen Council. The Teen Council is Teens elected by
the Youth Group to represent the teens. The president
of the Teen Council also attends Church Council meetings to
represent the teens for the entire church. All of our
teens are encouraged to take leadership roles both in church,
at school and in the community. The Teen Council for
