What are you interested in helping with?

Ambassador Program
Your ministry as an Ambassador is to look for someone who has entered the church (single person,a couple or a family) who you suspect might be visiting the congregation for the first time. After introducing yourself and making them feel welcome (being sure NOT to say "Are you new here?") ask if you can answer any questions for them. You should be thinking "what can I do to help these folks feel right at home this Sunday morning?" Call the church office to learn more about the Ambassador Program. 702-255-1990
Communion Assistant
Participate in either the 8:30 or 10:00 am worship service as a communion assistant. You will hold two chalices, one with wine and the other with grapejuice. You speak to each communicant saying "The blood of Christ shed for you". Call the church office and ask to speak with pastor Phil if you would like to learn more about this service opportunity.
Game Night Host
Hosts select a game for the group to play. Everyone brings a snack or drink to share. The event lasts about two hours. Various games are available in the social hall. A fun event--all pitch in to help.
Greeter
Be a greeter at either the 8:30 or 10:00 am service
Lector
Assist the Pastor in either our 8:30 or 10:00 am worship service by reading the scriptures
Prepare and serve refreshments
Between the 8:30 and 10:00 am services
Provide flowers for our Sunday Worship Services
Many use this as an opportunity to celebrate a special occasion or as a remembrance of a family member or friend.
Serve at our Welcome Desk
Provide information about St. Andrew to visitors at either the 8:30 or 10:00 am service
Telecare Ministry
You can support our pastoral ministry by calling four to six people once each month. Our telecare ministry helps people stay in touch with our congregation and lets them know that our congregation cares about them.
Usher
Paticipate in either our 8:30 or 10:00 am worship service as an usher
Visitaiton Ministry
A great way to help others is by simply visiting for few minutes with one of our members and bringing Holy Communion to them. We always send our teams out two by two. If you are looking for a way to help with pastoral ministry then this is the opportunity for you.
Web Site Maintenance
Help us keep our Web Site up-to-date by entering changes and additions when necessary.
Worship Assistant
Worship Assistants serve at the altar. They lead portions of the liturgy and distribut bread during Holy Communion. Most of the time a Worship Assistant wears a white robe. All readings are from a printed sheet and no memorization is required. To learn more about being a Worship Assistant speak to Pastor Shuart at 702-255-1990.
